🎓 Why My Classes Work
Learning Dutch isn’t just about memorizing verbs and vocabulary – it’s about using the language in real situations. My classes focus on building your confidence, speaking fluency, and understanding of Dutch culture through guided conversation and clear explanations.
This is not some generic course from a book, these conversation classes are specifically made by and for you each semester. My classes are a mix of themes, conversation topics and grammar that you need to know to get you to A1 level as quickly as possible. At the same time, we will speak about things that mean something to you and focus on the areas that you struggle with the most. That’s how you build progress the most!
You’ll learn for example how to:
Order coffee, groceries, or train tickets with ease
Introduce yourself, talk about your day, and make small talk
Ask for help, understand responses, and feel comfortable speakingÂ
Learn better ways to memorize words and learn Dutch in general
Hoi, ik ben Joyce!
Hi! I’m Joyce, founder of Dutch with Joyce. I’ve helped hundreds of internationals learn Dutch – not just passively, but actively speak it.
I’m known for making language learning feel personal, practical, and positive. As someone who loves structure and storytelling, I turn grammar into something you’ll actually remember.
Aside from teaching, I am a registered life coach. I don’t only help you learn Dutch, I also help you to get there mentally, learn better and maintain a positive, supportive mindset throughout. I also have learned 8 languages myself, so I know through and through what works and what doesn’t, which helps you to speak Dutch better and quicker!
